I’ve always had a great experience at this place with my kids, but it’s been closed every Monday for the last three weeks, despite being open online. The previous week, it was due to closing early, and the week before, there was no notice. I’m disappointed and would change my review if I knew the reasons behind these changes, and I understand that circumstances happen. I hope whatever is going on that they are all genuinely doing okay.

Ordered takeout from Ramen Osaka and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, while the noodles were perfectly chewy and had a great texture. The chashu pork was tender and well seasoned, and the marinated egg was delicious. I also tried their Fruit Bomb, and it was incredibly refreshing and flavorful the perfect drink to pair with a rich bowl of ramen. Even as takeout, the quality was excellent. Service was quick and super friendly. Definitely one of the better ramen spots I've tried, and I'll be ordering again soon. Highly recommend!

Friday evening dinner rush and there was only one other table there. That should’ve been my first clue. To be fair, it’s tucked away in Evergreen Village, so maybe people just forgot it exists. Unfortunately, I kinda wish I did too. The positives first because the list is shorter than the shrimp in the tempura. Free peanuts. The broth itself was actually decent. Not life changing, but respectable. Now for the adventure. The tempura shrimp looked like somebody flattened one tiny shrimp with a rolling pin and buried it under a mountain of panko. Mostly crunch, very little shrimp. Then it came with this weird sweet and sour sauce that tasted like it was trying to decide what cuisine it belonged to. The fried tofu had zero crunch. The skin was super soft and light. Some people may like that texture. We did not. Fried tofu without crunch feels like a broken promise. But the true final boss was the chashu. Wow. Dry doesn’t even cover it. It tasted freezer burned in the most aggressive way possible. Like meat that sat in the back of a freezer absorbing the flavor of frozen waffles, ice cubes, and regret for six months. One bite and my brain immediately said “refrigerator and bad deci

Osaka Ramen was a letdown for me this time. Service was very slow, and the overall experience just didn’t come together. The ramen broth wasn’t hot and lacked depth of flavor, the noodles were too firm, and the chashu was slightly tough. The one bright spot was the karaage, which was decent and probably the best thing we ordered, though even that wasn’t the best I’ve had. Maybe it’s just my personal taste, because this place has been around for decades and clearly has its fans. For me though, it didn’t quite hit the mark.

We really don’t know what to say about Ramen Osaka other than it’s had a disappointing decline. We’ve been coming here for years, pre renovation and everything. This used to be THE spot. My friends and I would gather here after school, my parents and I would walk over for dinner, and it was all around an amazing addition to the neighborhood! We’re not sure what has changed but it certainly hasn’t changed for the better. The service is fine and the location is great being inside of EV Square and with parking around. The real issue lies in the food, it just isn’t good. The noodles have a taste to them, we can’t pinpoint it exactly, but it just isn’t quite right. The chashu is also just not good, very dry and without flavor. Even the toppings are underwhelming. We ended up just wrapping things up early and taking our food to go. We don’t want to rag on them too much because this used to be a much better local spot so hopefully they can figure things out, but as it stands this just was not good food.
